Our History

At the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board on November 21, 1989, it was decided to establish a Vocational School of Health Services within our University in order to close the qualified manpower deficit in the field of health.

The decision taken by the Senate of our University on February 06, 1990 was examined at the meeting of the Executive Board on March 16, 1990 and the opening of “Nursing”, “Radiology” and “Medical Documentation and Secretariat” programs in the 1990-1991 academic year, and the opening of the “Medical Laboratory Techniques” Program in 1991. In the 1992 academic year, in the 1992-1993 academic year of the “Radiotherapy” Program, in the 1993-1994 academic year of the “First and Emergency Aid” Program, in the 1994-1995 academic year of the “Anesthesia” Program, in the 2008-2009 academic year of the “Audiometry” Program, in the “Nuclear In the 2012-2013 academic year of the “Medical Techniques” Program, the “Oral and Dental Health” Program was opened in the 2016-2017 academic year and how many students would be admitted to which program was approved in accordance with the articles 7/d-2 and 7/h, amended by the Law No. 2880 of the Law No. 2547. Education and training continues in a total of nine programs.

Mission

The mission of Dokuz Eylul University Vocational School of Health Services; in the field of health; To contribute to the development and strengthening of our country’s health services by providing training of technical staff equipped with superior knowledge and skills, in line with scientific, technological and contemporary values, through training programs prepared in accordance with international professional criteria.

Vision

The vision of Dokuz Eylul University Vocational School of Health Services; To be a leading educational institution in the training of health technicians who are respected, preferred, productive, able to communicate effectively with their environment, able to work as a team, equipped with professional skills in line with social needs, and who know their responsibilities towards their country at national and international level.
